Mission
Rossland and District Search and Rescue Society (RADSAR) exists to assist lost or injured individuals through safe, effective, and professional response. We uphold the provincial standards of training, teamwork, and accountability, supporting local, regional, and national emergency efforts while promoting outdoor safety education.

What we do
Search & Rescue Operations
We respond to missing or injured persons in wilderness and urban environments, often in challenging weather and terrain. Tasks may also include assisting BC Emergency Health Services, supporting evacuations, and evidence searches for police.
Prevention & Public Education
We support outdoor safety education delivered province-wide through AdventureSmart and the Canadian Avalanche Association.
Community Support
From safety briefings to volunteer events, we work with local partners to strengthen community resilience.
